Description
GP-1 is a lignosulphonate-based plasticiser conforming to IS 9103. It buys workability without extra water, which is the single cheapest way to raise the durability of a mix.
Effect
- Water reduction of 8 to 12 per cent at normal dosage
- Higher slump at the same water content, for pumping and congested reinforcement
- Improved cohesion and reduced segregation and bleeding
Dosage
0.3 to 0.5 per cent by weight of cement. Trial mixes are recommended, since the optimum depends on the cement and the aggregate grading.
